... All the problems I have had with blogger make me decide to leave. Im working on a new good blog that people acctualy will want to read, it will be in Swedish only. I want my green political colour to get trough more. We need more green bloggs not just those of the old gray people.

Oh, right. I now have acces to an webcamera. Katas litle sister got it by selling christmas magazines. So now I can get some photos if I get to borrow the camera, which I have. So I think I should let you see some of the photos we toke with it to test. Please note that its an webcamera and therefore no quality and quite imposible to take with you.

Aye, lunches for bloggers and blogsphere

There seems to be two things going on in the Swedish so called "Blogosphere". I din´t now that it was called that, and acctualy most blogs seems to hold the same content as did the diarys at diaryland back in 1999/2000. But thats another thing. Now back to what the trends are, the first I feel is this aspect of haveing food together, there has been some diffrent such events lately, one in Stockholm and one in Malmö. There seemed to have been a quite big part of nerd issuses discused on them, but I dont see the point. Meeting people how you only know to reading each others blogs, and to be true, I dont think anyone reads my blog, at least no one how blogs. The total amount of comments somehow points towards that, but I have hope for that. Of course when I get webbspace and might code my own blogging tool its going to get better as some features I want is missing from blogger. And there isn´t that many blogger near where I live anyway, but just to test this. Would you like to go to a blogdinner, live in Dalsland, Uddevalla, Vänersborg,Trollhättan or around this areas, drop me a comment or send me an mail (virre(nospam)postmark.net) .

The other thing is that it´s called the blogosphere, but well. Err I allready said that. Well, one thing of it, is that the bloggs I find most usefull, except for the standard defendents that everyone likes, are driven by gay people. I wonder why this is, as most of the hetrosexual male bloggs I have read isn´t good at contet. Anyway that is why I have added some good blogs in the link list, will add another one soon, but as long, read Learn Swedish in 1000 difficult leassons. As I said, it rocks.

Mail things

My mailprovider today feels to totaly faliure, it does that from time to time. I have used it for like at least three years, before it alternating between geocities and yesbox and some other strange mail provider. Right now, the webinterface seems down, and I have two mails to write, one to the libary of Trollhättan, as some personal from there called me, but I was a bit busy at the moment (allthough I guess this is about some books that I am a bit late with), and second to the people in the Unemployment office or whatever the english world for the place is. (Arbetsförmedlingen). I might have said im trying to get internship before here, well now there is a guy how is suposed to help me, but dont. One of the reasons that I even are at that place is a suspected case of Aspergers syndrome and therefore a person that tells me to contact the places where internship is intresting obvously is quite, err, to be frank stupid. The aspergers syndrome thing is not medicaly proved, allthough the psycolog at the unemployment office was quite assured, I still need to get examined, and as the que is somewhere between 9 to 12 months I have to wait abit, (around 5-6 months have gone so far) . Well anyway, yesterday after talking with my mother, how also works in an unemployment office she convinced me that they where at fault (and might acctualy be breaking some laws) so I sat down and wrote a mail to there boss, and I got an anser today, allthough I feel he don´t get the point either, as Im now going to meet a person how will help me with studyways and such stuff, well the point is I should be in academia, that was what some tests to see what you should work with said anyway. And due to some problems with going to uni. (The Swedish högskola is like an uni. in other countrys, but there is uni. but there is only small diffences, and there are no such word as högskola in English) before I probably wont get any money for such a thing. So what this meetting would lead to I don´t see, but well I better play along, I have allready made too much trouble.

Oki, family how reads this, Now you know about the Asperger thingie, let´s see how many reacts, if you read this leave a comment. Ah, please comment by the way. Well, others too acctualy.

Aha, eurosport contests and stuff

So I havent writen in quite a long time, again. Why is this you might ask, well it seams that things keeps getting in the way and not only that but I dont feel any urge to ramble here. Lets just say that I will try to post more regulary. I think one of the reasons I don´t post so much is the fact that some of my family reads this stuff. But well, what todo. Anyway to proced with two nice things, one is I won some sort of eurosport bike competion, though as i remember it the prize was a cycle, (but I guess that was the first prize), what I got was this really uggly, agh, wossnames, you put it on your pint to not affect the table. Oh, well I think you get my points. And the second good news is that there is something called "Dalslands Medeltidsförening" and that they are applaying for permit to build a longhouse to hold a medieval larp in, the application seemed to be leaning towards a historicaly correct building so this seems good. The only bad thing is that I cant get any contact information about them (I want to be in such a organisation, as those Kata and probably the rest of here family, beeing quite in to mediveal markets and stuff, and going in costume or what you say.)

I guess I should blog about something more, but well I have some thoughts on schoolsystems after reading a book about famous mathematicans ("the man behind the matemathics"). I wish I could like and understand the simple parts of maths and not just the more complex parts (as I need the simple parts to count the advanced parts). Oh, and talking on such note, me and Kata is writing a litle Yatzy game, its been done a thousand times I know (remembering a quite strange version on some c64 cover disc, in the begining of the 90s) , but it is a object in Katas programming course book, and well its nice to write code together with the one you love. Espacally with a person how has such a natural understanding of code and writeing it. It´s pure art when she formulates how todo things, allthough here knowledge of the language it self (c++ in this case) makes her a bit restricted. But she advances quick and I get quite a good stimulation and get back my understanding of code, that I lost when I moved to here, as my then computer did they on me for some months. Allthough my coding skills arent completly lost, and I tried to keep in practice with pen and paper during those months. But I lost a bit of fluenty and stuff then, but its getting back to me.

Ah, you see what happends when I sit down to write a litle explenation of why I havent posted in quite a while.

Wii, first post in a great while.

Well what should I say, first I was away on things and then blogger was bugging out and stuff. And then I lost my inspiration and have had other stuff todo. But Im back, and I might even write often. We'll see. Right now im mostly upset at Swedish poltics in specific those stupid "Moderater" and there dumb leader Reinfelt or what ever his name is. Two things makes me upset, one, according to the nice person at the well, I dont know it in English (but its "socialkontor" in Swedish). The place you get your social securety money from, saw him on a TV show about mens violence against womans and he had mad a foul out of him self. As I haven´t seen it myself I can´t comment on what it was. But I must say I trust her in this case. Yesterday I did see him on a show called "Agenda", they where talking about cuting socialisecurety and that people gets addicted to it and therefore not get work. And that people should get job paying really low. Obvously He thinks that people like me is not trying to get work and things. (Let´s see now, last I checked I had searched for 42 jobs via email. And some via other medium). In a world with that kind of rule I would be bloody dead! I hadn´t been able to afford both transport (with public transports, which probably would be even more expansive in their world) , food and rent. So in the end Moderaterna wants to kill me. Not that that Reinfelt guy is a good retoric either, he´s was really losy, allthough so was the labourparty (socialdemokrat) representant, acctualy he´s some kind of company minister or something. You dont notice ministers unto they to something bad. The Youth organisation president did say a thing thats true, he said that Moderaterna "wants to give us a gut feeling to the next election" (note, this is my translation of it, "vill ge en magkänsla" was the original saying), well he did that good. , they give me a gut feeling. They makes me wanna puke. (I couldn´t stop laughing when they said it. I wonder if they get the full meaning of it). Oh, right I wronged Reinfelt and Reinfeldt I dont know how you spell his name, and I will never learn. I just don´t want to. And I tried to refrain from useing bad language but it was hard.

Bloggstaffeten, "Vem äger språket" (In Swedish)

Så, nu har bloggstaffeten kommit till mig. (Den senaste listan med vilka som är med i Blogstaffeten finns antagligen här

Ämnet jag har fått är vem som äger språket. Men samtidigt är det en hel del underfrågor som jag inte riktigt ser har med ämnet att göra, så till att börja med så kanske jag ska besvara dem. Varför skriver jag på två språk i en blogg? Tja, jag skriver på engelska eftersom jag annars inte använder språket så ofta nu för tiden, och inte vill tappa kunskaperna, och naturligtvis för att få besökare, men ibland så känns ämnena för ointresanta för icke svenska besökare. Så mesta dels skriver jag bloggen för min egen skull, även om jag ibland kan vräka ur mig saker som andra kan finna nytiga och/eller intresanta, även om de mesta i den stillen blir för långt.

Nu till resten av frågorna, eftersom jag är en lat jävel för tillfället som vill spela discworld muden och lysna på folkmusik så tar jag och besvarar de frågor jag fått från valleballongs blogg...

Vem äger språket?

Som jag så är det de som talar språket som äger det, så enkelt är det, alla äger sitt språk. Mitt sätt att använda språket är lika mycket rätt som ditt eller svenska akademins (varesig vi pratar om bandet eller den ordboksutgivande varianten).

Hur viktigt är det att kunna artikulera sig, vad händer om man inte äger retoriska kunskaper, är språk en klassfråga?

I dagens skriftliga samhälle är det av yttersta vikt att kunna formulera sig skriftligt, men det är av yttersta vikt att även kunna forumlera sig muntligt. En välskriven platsansökan leder inte längre en till en interjuv (om änns det, jag anser att jag kan formulera mig skriftligt, men inte har jag fått något jobb på mina hundratals ansökningar (och med stavkontroll)) men om man inte kan prata ordentligt, eller får munhäfta när man behöver förklara något viktigt, så är man ila ute. Om man inte kan stå och prata för mycket mäniskor har man inte en chans att påverka sin vardag i många samanhang, den enda platsen där man kan påverka mer med skriva ord en talade är Internet. Både skolan och arbetsmarknanden kräver att man har en förmåga att uttrycka sig. Att bli utslagen och uttryckt är en effekt av det här, och samtidigt är det de som har de bäst ekonomiskt ställt som har störst möjlighet att uttrycka sig i ord, men ännu värre är att det att samhället ger sig på de redan liggande, de som lider av social fobi, de som rädds människor, de får ingen möjlighet att änns märkars. Och möjligheten til hjälp finns inte.

Egentligen skrev jag en massa till men jag råkade klumpa mig lite, och det är borta. Det var en lång utläggning om vem som äger ett fiktivt språk och att Quenya (ett av Tolkiens alvspråk) borde vara i publik ägo, och kan sägas är det. Desutom så kom jag fram till att den enda som kan äga en text är den som själv har skrivit den. Och så hade jag kommit på ett ämne till Dennis, nämligen "Varför använder så få företag och kommuner fri mjukvara?", så skulle jag länka till FSF-Europe där man kan läsa mer om vad Fri Mjukvara är, om man behöver läsa på, som kanske t.ex. Dennis behöver? (eller inte, vad vet jag?)

Hey, Im back from Stockholm. Really I came back Monday, but I havent felt like saying anything science then, and still don´t now what to say. Note, the two things I wished for that I got was 1) Ringarnas Herre and 2. The Seafarers from Catan (allthough in Norweigan or Danish edition, and I bought it myself). Oh, well I think I will go play the Discworld MUD, latley I have had a longing for playing MUDs, and nowadays I might be mature enough and have a fast enough internet conection. Hm... just posted this as Im alive sign, as I don´t now what to say, and have heard that quite many people read my blog (some of whom are family)

Going to Stockholm for my birthday

Im going to Stockholm for my birthday (on Sunday), leaving tomorrow, wont be back untill Monday. Probably I don´t have a chance to write hear before Tuesday. On notes on my trip, its amazing that my trip to Stockholm cost less than it cost to go from her to Gothenborg, almost, with travelling when you are in Gothenburg it is cheaper to goto Stockholm (but for sure, the travell in Stockholm is more expensive).

Looking at some more of the last topic (updated information may be found at: http://indymedia.org/en/static/fbi ) and it seems that indymedias host put them down acording to them holding terrorists (this seems most probable)

What Indymedia contents are of course just news that wonder never got into the mainstream. Some might see news from things like the RNC or whatever it´s called for terrorism. I guess this is the same mentalaty that made soo many protesters taken to jail at demostrations. The fact that most of the countries affected are not real democracies and that the server hold linux distrubitons and such, is of course of no concern. Sigh. I miss the black-ribbon online campagin. Freedom of speach on the Internet, NOW!

On not so related not, look out for postcard viruses. Got one my self, but as br is a strange place to get mail from I got that it was a spam or something. Oh, shit how many people are not going to get that.

The US goverment steals Indymedias servers from England

Argh, Great Brittan is an part of the United States obvously (http://www.indymedia.org/en/index.shtml), well not acctualy it seems that it was Italy/France. This is still horrible, and truley against all common sense. But of 'course goverments don´t want the people to distribute indipendent media. And it´s not as only the news collective is affected:

"The servers (ahimsa) host the sites of more then 20 local collectives, radio streams for several radio stations, BLAG (a Linux distribution as well as miscellanous other projects."

This is a horible, but it also is the prove that there is no democracy in this age. Not in Europe, and defentlivy not in the US. The people shouldn´t be allowed to tell the truth, I wonder where all those liberal people dissing Chinas horible Internet policies are now, If they would be consent they should be upset about this. (And some probably are too. But I didn´t get this before I acctualy checked the Indymedia site in search for information on some demostrations).

I wonder if there is something todo, except of course to donate to Indymedia. I saw some link to it.

Ideas for "The settlers from Catan" scenarios/expansions

Yesterday we saw "Forest Gump", Kata hadn´t seen it before. Sometimes the fact that she is some years younger then me, makes things intresting. But what we also did was played "The Settlers From Catan", and after that I started wondering about some scenarios/modifications you might do.

Rohan expansion (well most of this was Katas): You can build horses if you pay five grain (or whatever they use in the english version) , and if you put it on a grain field it makes it so that if you have one setlements you get two grains, if you one city you get four grains and if you have two settlemts you get four grains. This also applies to the fields from which you get sheep. But not the others

The five armies battle (needs 5-6 players expansion pack): It´s based on the battle in The hobbit (now I haven´t read it in English for some time, so I ain´t sure I got the name of the batle right). The tiles is placed som from the beging you only have one resource, this will force you to trade, we haven´t developed this more than that, I got it just before bed.

3 brothers story: This is taken from Swedish history, and im builidng it right now. What is sure is that you play one of 3 brothers how strugles over the power in Sweden or Norway (as one of them was allied with king Haakon the something, I think it was)

Oh talking about games, can somebody please give Kata Magic cards so she stops playing with mine. Or buy me some new so I can build a better deck?

Whey, I wrote an angry letter in the weekend about the fact that the "Blue Dragon Simplysushi Kit" is trouble filled. Blötning som chickpeasna i 8 kuper av bevattnar för 12 timmar. Avrinningen och sköljer grundligt. Sätt chickpeasna, onions, och 8 kuper bevattnar in i en stor kruka och kommer med till en böld. Täcka delvist, värmer puttrar vänden till lowen och försiktigt för 1 timme. Tillfoga potatoesna som är salt, turmeric, spiskumminen, koriander, cayenne, och en annan 3/4 kuper bevattnar. Komma med till en böld. Täcka och puttra på mycket sparlåga för en andra 1-1/2 timmar. Uppståndelsefåtaltider under denna period. Kontrollera seasonings. Tillfoga svartpeppar- och lemonfruktsaften. Uppståndelse till blandningen.

The horrible state of swedish movietheaters

So we went to the movies this evening. It was me, Kata, Katas Father and Katas litle sister. Her mother is away on some course or other. First of we were going to prebook the tickets via SFs (SF is one of the two cinemacompanys that is spread in Sweden, and is the most common one. There is some small indepent cinemas too) homepage. First of it sucks, Kata wrote a review of it for her webdesign course and it was a great one. First of, Flash for booking is not good, allthough you might choice where you want to sit, there is simpler methods that don´t demand that much download. Secondly they charge you for the booking via the Internet. If we booked it via the Internet we would get the best seats according to the computer, obsouvlsy there was something wrong in the algorithm as out on the left corner is not the best place. Instead we bought the tickets in the theater and got great places, middlerow, middleseats. Oh, now lets get to the movie it self.

Its hard to talk about it without maybe spoling it, but I should try. First of the end would be really nice to discuss it was made for that I felt. The movie is about a famous conductor how gets burnt out and returns to his childhoods village, with a new name. So no one will know he once where there. It portrais the life in the countryside of Sweden quite good, but some part is probable verry much of the North. It´s also have that sort of apeal to all clases as Elizabethian drama somedays have, the director/writer seems to have thought of all kind of publics and those have some fore all. There is a wonderfull scene where a priest stands and scream something like "i am humble!". The movie drifts with the stress of modern society, village peoples way of closeing their eyes and dislikeing newcomers (this part I have personal knowledge of) and of the churhes way of impending sin on everyone. The movie really holds the classist way of building up for a catastrophy, it happends three times. The inspirations feels like the classic dramas and the bible, probably some old 1960´s dramas may have have an impact. I got two lusts after coming out of this movie, one was to sing in a choir (but I cant sing, allthough I was in one schoolchoir once, but I can´t sing anyway) and the second was to write drama. Well, together with reading some of Wildes stories that is.

Tolkiensardas Pagerank

Wow, someday ago when I was going through my hitstatics it showed that someone searched for "Kofferdi Secker" on yahoo and got this page, that made me abit worried so I tried to search for it on Google, and my page got there than too. This made me verry upset as Tolkiensarda is the homepage where Swedes wondering something about the new translation should come, and Indeed they does that now, at least at Google but no, Yahoo still links to me. Arghh... "Tolkiens Arda" is the best Swedish Tolkien homepage and really should get high in searches, the two best are "Tolkiens Arda" and "Skallman.nu". Personally i prefare Tolkiens Arda but that may be some personal views.

Well on other notes, I acctualy don´t have so much to say now. Except I just published an Swedish article about Eddings vs Kerr and Tolkien (I hate Eddings). You can find it on my normal homepage, there is a link to it down on the right side bar.

Oh, greatness today is Friday and I have realised I can´t goto Borås tomorrow for the big demostration. It´s "The day of the animals" (Djurens Dag) tomorrow, but due to the bloody expansive so called collective traffic in this part I cant afford to go there if I want food for the rest of the month, well food and fun. Allthough it´s my birthday in seventeen days, and I will try to get to Stockholm to celebrate that with my family, if I can get the trip from some of them. Howsoever the bigest problem with celebrating together with my family is to decide which side of it to meet. I.e either I am with my mums side, with sisters and brothers and nices or I am with my fathers side, this means rather my grandparrents and maybe cousins. My father I haven´t seen in years, this will probably make my mother glad, not sure if it makes me glad though. Im going towards grandparrents as it´s to hard to remain sober when I meet family on my mothers side. I can take my mum alone, but thats about it. Heres the wishlist for this year:

Vaccum cleaner and the Settlers from Catan

After yesterdays Swedish post I felt a bit guilty untill I checked out some stats of visitors. It shows that 74% of people visiting this blog is from Sweden. Most comes from a swedish weblogs ping page and after that came Tolkiensarda, which shouldn´t suprise me. (Alltough It would be nice if those people would leave a comment, you can comment anonymous so...).

Ah, yesterday I got my money so I went shoping in Uddevalla. I bought one vaccumcleaner, I had looked in the stores on Internet had found one in my pricerange, but when I was there the store didn´t have it, so I bought a much more expansive one, but Im starting to panicking, I don´t want to sweep the floor and wash it with on my knees. But before I bought the vaccum cleaner i fell into the gamestore that is in that place and bought "The Settlers Från Catan" (i.e "The Settlers From Catan") , and I also bought a pack of "Sushi-dinner kit" so it´s just to add indgridients (No Sushi is not raw fish, sushi is the rice version. You can make fully vegan sushi) i.e advocado, tofu, cucumber and so on.

The thing about that game is that the translation is verry strange, because first it´s uses English ("The Settlers") and then it changes to ("Från Catan"). This is really strange, espacally science the original title is Die Siedler von Catan. So they translated a German title into English on a game in Swedish. But was far worse is that they are useing genitive "s" with atostrophe as in English, when Swedish don´t have it. It says "Klaus Teuber's" (original creator of the game) when the correct word should be "Klaus Teubers". Vänsterpartiet och Josefsson

Sorry, people this post is in Swedish.

Aha, jag såg uppdrag gransknings programmet om Vänsterpartiet igår. Jag borde väll reagera, så sent som i December var jag ju med i Ung Vänster. Även om jag lämnade dem för att de är på väg tillbaka emot toppstyre och tror att "arbetarklassens" ungdom är en homogen grupp. Fast en sak slår mig, vem bryr sig om var V/UV stog på 80-talet ingen som är med där menar en bolsjevikernas Lenin-/Stalin-ism det skulle vara intresantare att se hur makten är fördelad och vem som sitter på den och hur den används.

Det var mycket därför jag lämnade UV, de respekterade inte folk som inte helt och hållet var Marxister och Militärister. Att enns andas något om t.ex. Goldman är nära på uteslutning ändå, och att säga att det är bätre att använda fri mjukvara än att piratkopiera hemskt. Jag undrar vad BSA skulle finna om de besökte UVs kontor och de anställdas hem.

Tove Fraerud gjorde verkligen bort sig, (UVs ordförande), hon verkade ännu mer blåst nu än när tidningen Djurens Rätt interjuvade henne. Hon sa då att djurrätsfrågor inte var något som Ung Vänster tog upp, när hon så fick frågan om de djurrätsintreserade istället skulle gå med i Grön Ungdom var svaret, att nej det ska de väll inte de ska gå med i UV men inte driva sådana frågor. Men i frågan om Vänsterpartiets förflutna är jag inte förvånad hon har hårt det som de flesta som gått med där efter 1991 hört, de myter som man spridit.

Janne Josefssons reportage var bra, men jag undrar om det någon gång kommer ett ordentligt repotage om alla högerns lik i gaderoben. Trots allt så var t.ex. Moderaterna emot demokrati fram till 70-talet någon gång (var väll 78 om jag inte missminer mig). MUF/Moderaterna samarbetar med organisationer i Turkiet som inte direkt är kända för sin mäniskovänliga hantering av Kurder. Man samarbetar med odemokratiska och i några fall direkta dikatursstödjande organisationer. Nåja nu måste jag gå, men det kommer mer om det här, det här känns väldigt ofullständigt.

First of, I most as all Swedish bloggers does today (I feelt abit of peer presure when I read through them) mention the fact that today is 10 Years science the horrible Estonia catastroph. For those of you how aren´t swedish (or Estonian or what ever the other nations on the boat was) this was an horrible boat accident where over 800 people died in the stormy baltic sea. I don´t remember much of this time as this was the beging of the worst part of my schooltime. I was 12, going on 13 (my birthday is in October) and had my own trouble suriving school. But as bad as school was this accident was worse. I remember comming to school and seeing the flags being halfways up. The feeeling was horrible, then somehow it come forward that one of the teatcher for the smaller kids had died. The scouts where I was active untill ca. 1998, took people from my swedish low/middlegrade school (Katarina Norra) and from the school in Gamla Stan/Old Town (Storkyrkoskolan) of Stockholm. That last school shared it´s existence with the Estonian school of Stockholm (or something like that) and the pupils from the Estonian school was quite unsetled and so was the swedish pupils too. I heard that much later as I once knew a girl that went to it quite good. (This was many realationships away). But I didn´t think I got the catastrophe then, I was to young I think. I was much more affected by a fire in Gothenburg on a youthdisco some years later. But also the time that the "Katarina Kyrka" ("Katarina church") burned down some years before that affected me more. But this might have something todo with the fact that my school was right next to it and that my father was working as a firefighter in the fire department that also is next to the church.

Now to two something a bit more on the bright side. First of, the Tolkienhomepage that I linked too before, and that my previous long quote are from is down due to overuse. It´s an to heavy load on it. Secondly Im doing this from the "Arbetsförmedlings" computer that should be blocked from this things. They stand empty most of the days though to that so it isn´t as somebody couldn´t get a work. And besides this blog might even help me get work. (Oh, how am I kidding). By the way people that have ideas on where I should try to get internship are welcome with comments. At least in what kind of buisness.

First of, I forgot to mention the weatherpixie in the last post, it´s the litle thingie that tells the weather down in the sidebar. The weather is that in Trollhättan which (how do you spell that, I allway forget) is only abour 3½-4 miles from Färgelanda. Now to the other thing, yesterday was the first day that swedish media could post reviews of the new translation of "Fellowship of the ring" to swedish. I sat down and reviewd most of those and put it up on tolkiensardas forum (link on the side). Now I will also post it hear for your enjoyment. Tweaking up the design

As you see I have done a bit of fixing in design. Changeing colors and setting up fonts so that it looks good. I always prefared black text on white background. It´s much easier to read, and basicly there is a reason that wordprocessor are setup that way. Im not sure if the fonts functions though, because I don´t think that I had Impact and Verdana installed on this computer.

On other notes I installed two scripts, one is obsvious for everybody that has JavaScript enabled, please forgive me for that, but thats the only choice on blogspot. If someone give me access to an webbserver that has php and perl scripts enabled that would be good and tanslateable. The obvious one is the "On this day script" that you might see under the dates. The second is just for my enjoyment, it´s a simple statics script, as there are few comments, I don´t know how visits, also I wan´t to see what browsers people use.

Bookfair sumary and getting visitors

So my last post acctualy got commeted, and that was a nice feeling. Espacally science this is no one I have ever heard from in any other case (we´ll I think it´s so anyway).

The book fair had it´s pros and cons. The most con thing is of ´course the fact that there is too much in to litle time. Nice things did happen, first off we entered Amnestys booklottery (is that the word in English?) and I won, a book about Russia and Democracy from 1998/1999 published by Svenska Freds och Skiljedomsföreningen (Swedish Peace and Abo... something which I can´t spell), a nice organisation. I used to be a member untill I couldn´t afford it. Then we continued or random browsing trough the place and of course it was filled with diffrent stuff. This are the freebies we got:

Pins (an "Afrika-Grupperna pin" and one that we made ourselfs, they says "Beren åt inte heller kött" i.e "Beren didn´t eat meat either". For those unaware of how Beren is, please read Sillmarilion)
Pens
Loads of folders and stuff

And we did hear one interview (with really bad people doing the interview) with an youth book author how did a book about an animal rights activists. She seemed nice whilest the interviewers where totaly strange. She did mention that there is no male (Swedish, I guess she meant) youth author, so I told Kata that maybe I should trying writing for that market. She then mentioned that you should like the genre you write about. But that´s another thing, and I don´t totaly hate it, it´s just there is so few books that aren´t see true, and if you used to Kerouacs writting most youth writers is just lame copies. Oh, we also ate some baugets with salsa dip that we bought before hand, and I bought a big cola before hand, that was a good thing as it was bloody warm in there. We had to return with a bus that went at 15.15 and so we came back to Färgelanda around sixish (with an posible marginal of +/-1 hour).

This turns out to be one of these long ones, that I write a bit to often I guess. Should probably keep this part short then. First off I finished the Grön Ungdom Trollhättan Page, but it´s still in beta testing, probably will be realeased in the next week. Secondly latley we been playing loads of board games, but they don´t get up to Settlers of Catan class, so thats my next to get thing. (Except work then, that would be nicer). Im also trying to get in webblog pages, put I don´t know how to make blogger ping all these swedish places.

Newswise Maarten Blok is Free! This is the first of the people that have been tried in Swedish court for things that sorounds the Gothenborg EU-summit in 2001, where the police haven´t been trusted. They were telling diffrent stories in this case (and have in other) but this time some justice happend. Just hope that Jaldung (The police commander) that is responisble for most of the horror is tried. And to jump to it, Kriminalvården (Swedens Prison and Probation Service) gets a new chief that has been a cop for a long time. Is this just me that thinks that this is a move away from some ground democracy values when those how executes the punishments are close to those how apprahends, It would be worse if the justice system was close to the police. And on paper they are not, but in reality in Swedish courts police-witness have been counted for more, even when they condatrict each other. (But as before mentioned Marteen was a difference, but his might be due to not wanting to get in trouble with the Netherlands).

On our way to Gothenburg Book and libary fair

Yes, a dream is coming true.

Were going to the book- and libary- fair today. I first thought I couldn´t aford it, but now it seems I can. But It does take that I pay to litle in the bus (hopefully no controlls) and that the money my grandparrents are borrowing me are in my account when we arrive in Gothenburg. (Its also takes me wakeing Kata up. But that´s not that hard.)

On other notes, I have noted that the worse Javascripts people have on their blogs, you worse there spelling are. And some of these people are even native English speakers, and spell worse than me. Often the worst Java scripts are those that says you "have not an Win32 compatible browser".

Oh and on Moonday may living err thingie you get (bostadsbidrag) and probably some other money is comming to(!). Yeahy , so then we can celebrate some nice hobbits birthday truley. I wonder if the translation team is going to sign books or not tomorrow, as I probably can´t afford the books today that will make me depressed over the top. Well, I let you in soon on how things works out. (comments are welcome)

The DevTool in progress

He, so some days have gone and nothing on bash have come out of me. But home I have written an bashscript to ease newbies programming. Its the tool I would have wanted when I started useing GNU\Linux. Its just a command line tool so it´s syntax is just
#: devtool -n test
That starts nano with the file test, if I use -e I would have started it with Emacs instead.
Then I have a -r to make it runable, but that don´t seem to work, (it´s just calls chmod +x $OPTARG), This perl script I wrote useing this techic complains its a binary file. Then there is the point of geting gcc options to work, so That i can specify an output file to GCC with another name than the inputfile.

On other notes, I missed that it was Bilbo & Frodos birthday yesterday, well not missed it, because I remembered in the afternoon. But broke as I am, I couldn´t to anything to celebrate and Kata was at her place so we didn´t to anything, but maybe we´ll celebrate it late, lets say tomorrow or next week, as I will get money verry soon. Now, im just trying to figure out if she was coming here at 18 or at 16 as her mail said she would come at 6 but there isn´t any bus coming that time (but there is one approximatly that time).

Please people comment on devtool, I´ll get the source up in somedays. Just have to get it to Katas place first.

Bash shelling

Oh, today was not nice, electrecy got cut two times in the morning, that the bad part of leaving out on the countryside (allthough Färgelanda is not as much the countryside as Rådanefors is, where Kata lives). Happely no thing got that hurt. Computer restarted good, look it wasn´t Debian/Linuxs fault it went down it was that powersurge. So now the only problem is that ~ dont work on that keyboard so I have to use cd /home/virre, guess i could set an other command as alias or something. Im thinking of setting up a homepage with my linux experience and some howto use bash things, like how to use the Emacs editing style on command line. I have a book called learning the bash shell that I have read some time and are currently rereading, but its quite old and so on. But the matter is time, and what if I get an internship, that would take a lot of time. Im going to hear about that right now, so Im a bit stressed, I´ll probably get back to blogging later today hower.

did some design fixes

Aha, so I did some design fixes. Well I added those links. But now I get a feel of how the design template I can redo it to look quite good, and acctualy get a pausible background. And have a functioning design, independet of which browser you run. Allthough I want the navbar to be there, but I want the blog to be readable with Lynx. Hrmm... anyway, I have many projects todo, like the one with the schematics program thats upp on a homepage. Well....

And on other note, every person that makes designs that only work with either win32 or ie browser should really should be hanged upside down in a pit with a sign saying learn the standard. (hehe, inspiration from Terry Pratchett for that punishment). And on such note check out "The HTML Hell Page" another one of ERS s nice texts.

Aha, hello how ever reads this.
As usal its been a while, well I know I said this should be regularly updated, but but....

So what have I done latley. Well seen TV mostly and played PS2 games, I was home for somedays last week and there not much else todo there. But on Saturday we (me and Katas family) went to Åmål (yes, the one in the movie "Show me love", which is really a bad translation of the original title "Fucking Åmål") to goto one of their friends 50ths birthday party, me and Kata and Katas sister Helena was going to help in the kitchen and my deepfrier was going to help doing Langos. That turned out to be quite nice acctualy, allthough there was no vegan sauces most of the food was (that might have something todo with the fact that the person whose birthday it was is vegetarian). There even was a vegan cake, allthough I prefare the one that we did when Katas mother turned 50, that one was really nice with the frosting and everything. We slept in the birthday persons house (hey, I even say that the page is bilangual, so spelling is not my favourite), me and Kata in the office room, that was a bit hard as there was one laptop, one midtower and one HP Journada in there, but I thought well there surley are running m$ software so just dont touch it, then I saw the Knoppix cd. But we didit, didn´t touch a computer (allthough I did look at there D-Link router, we had the same model a time but it didn´t work). Oh, well what else to say. Hmm... I don´t know. As allways please comment about anything really. Espacally if you find my ravings intresting.

Soccer and Debian

Yey I got Debian installed and have almost no trouble with it.
Just sometrouble with giving Kata sound acces which leads to an rather big event that probably should have been part of the Title. She fell of Timotej (Horse) yesterday and landed bad on her hand so now its in plaster after like six hours at the hospital (we come around 21.30 and left about 1 or something. Back here in 1.30 anyway).

On the note of Soccer Sweden Croatia is standing 0-0. Don´t have TV3 hear so I cant see the game. (Couldn´t find any WebTV with it either) But I did find a minute for minute update place, lets just hope that its update function does works.

New Harddrive

Hehehe... At least I got my self a real computer, or not acctualy. All I did was use about 680 Swedish Kronor (or about $85 with an exchange right of 8) on a new 80 Gig harddrive, put it in as slave (hdb) on my girlfriends computer and installed Debian GNU\Linux. So we're running dualboot, and we haven't argued about it yet (=.

Anyway, not much else happends as I have spent the last days in front of the computer fixing stuff in debian (first X didn't work, then I got sarge and then it worked but I accidently happend to use dselect in such a way that I destroyed the X install. Then I reinstalled and the mouse didn't work but now I reinstalled again and everything is up and running)

3 Olympic golds in one weekend

You see the subject, thats why I haven´t posted that much latley. Mostly been sat in front of the Telie watching Swedes failing miserably in the olympic, expect of course of Klüft, Olsson and Holm. Of course everyone already thought they would win. The pingis player Waldner has been more of a suprice, of course he lost today, the king had already said hi to him. (of course I am a republican and really don´t like kings, to the extent of dreaming about convinicing the hole bloody royal family to abdicate.

Now what does have happend is the following, I seen Return of the King again, at the movies. Well outdoors movies in Uddevalla. I don´t now what worse all the drunck 13/14 year olds (one even had to be dragged away by her friends), all the chating and standing up in front of me, the freezing or the movie itself .Every time I see it, I see more and more faults and flaws and of course there is the part about the ghostarmy looking like somekind of detergent (probably yes or something) I think I should hold back on that ramble and go on to ramble about my last reading.

It´s a book bought on sale at sf-bokhandeln (oh, they are haveing middleage days, with sales if your in middleage clothes. Arghh...most be in Gothenburg, oh it was in Stockholm) and is called Mediations on Middle-Earth, it has quite an extenisve list of people contributing to it from our dear Terry Pratchett through Robin Hobb to Ursula K. Le Guin to Orson Scott Card to Poul Anderson to Raymond Feist, I do miss any Katherine Kerr text. There is a great one on her homepage. With Tolkien references.

And now that reminds me of trying to get a special celbration of Frodo/Bilbos Birthday on the 22nd of September with Esgaroth, that propably would be needed as we almost are dieing.

Blogger isn´t compatible

I Think I just nearly blogged about my own blogg, acctualy I couldn´t as Blogger isn´t Mozilla FireFox compatiable. Well hope this fuctions better then. The thing at the circus didn´t go that well it was hired for some company or something (the clown said metal something as friend Helena said. Must make a diffrence with Helenas as Katas sister too is a Helena... After the not-so much flyer thing we did go home via Vänersborg, we hurried to the shop to buy indgridients for Pizza, and we didn´t even have any Tofu, you can allways make veganpizza. And I bougth cola, I really must need to get rid of that addiction... (Sugestions how are welcome) So we went from the shop to the Square, there we to our suprise found sister Helenas boyfriend waiting for the same bus as us, and in good sense of our local collectivtrafic company, the bus we should take said one time on it´s offical timetable and another on the one we were going to change to. (This bus system is hard to explain you have to have lived it) My conviction of getting an HPV (Human Powerd Vechicle, ie Bike) is getting stronger. Im thinking of building one of these "Recumbent" thingies, probably something like the one here (the page is in Swedish though, but the pictures are nice). Anyway when we got home we had to make quite much pizza, acctualy we made it with 100 grams of yeast, but it was nice. Everybody in Katas family eat plus me and Tobias. It´s probably the last time that happen in quite a while as Helena (Katas sister) is moving tomorrow. The we just have done nothing, I did see Per-Eric mentioned in the post about the Friends of the Earth camp entry online at the Miljöpartiet (you know who they are now) BBS gittan. Though you can´t chat with people logging in through www. (We´ll I guess thats why). And now I really should go do some works on the GU-Thn site.

Im trying to get somekind of nice design on this blog, so you can get a bit of presentation of me, but those templates dosn't seems to work, so now I have another thing on the todo list, get to understand how to make designs for Blogger.com. I started writing a letter to the editor (I don´t think it's quite correct, but the lexicons give that translation) about free software, but somehow it sleept of. I also have gone around reading other peoples blogs, and wondering how to get people reading my blog. Please comment if you have any suggestions? (So do you have any sugestions). I think I shall sit down and finnish of my Lovecraft FanFiction storry to. Oh, right if you now of any competions in novells or poems please inform me of these too. Kata is in school so I am quite bored, I think what I really should do is code the Grön Ungdom Trollhättan (now adays you now what it mean don´t you) homepage, or at least the script for Ecological/Fairtrade marked products. To night is another meeting, it´s a put out flyer action at Circus Brazil Jack with the Djurens Rätt (Animal rights of Sweden) Trollhättan/Vänersborg. (This is in Trollhättan). It´s quite horrible acctualy, the have "exotic" birds and doves , how do you transport those, brr... horrible, to not talk about horses that are in fact clastrofobic. Katas family has two horses and I really can´t see how that would be possible todo circus things (yes, its quite wrong to have animals, I meant that two members of there family is horses. Kata also is studying a load of Natrual Horsemanship books and even have been on a camp) .

Aha, I am getting to regular updates, that is good. Today, not much has happend though. I have written som perl code, which is always nice. Didn´t sleep to long either, also we were on a Miljöpartiet Trollhättan meeting, it was quite intresting, allthough this old people need to learn how to listen to each other. Kata begins school tomorrow, and also there is a circus in Trollhättan, so there will be protests, and we shall be there. Not a long rant today, got some comments on to long rants. Yeah, yesterdays IRC discusion with Dr.Rotmos spawend some ideas about going after the record companies that uses direct-copy-controll with sues, and trying to do something on there trademark offences (Using the CD logo, when in fact those records are not CDs, Philips don´t like that)

Summercamp and long time

Hi people how read this my blog.
So I think I said in the first post, that I shouldn´t be long between updates. I most admit that it was a lie as you see. Now sciencerly I was thinking of updateing it often. But things got in the way. But lets forget that and get talking about things that has happend the last week or so.

The one nice thing that happend was the globalisation camp with Miljöförbundet Jordens Vänner (It is the swedish section of Friends of the earth International. The camp was payed for by the nice people of Miljöpartiet Trollhättan (The Green Party of Swedens section in Trollhättan) as we are members of Grön Ungdom Trollhättan (The young greens of Swedens section in Trollhättan). We arrived on Thursday with bus, (it was hold not to long from us, in Nordkroken, that made local buses possible) . The first thing we did was put our tent up, me and Kata had borrowed one of her families tents, it was not rain proof but we took a chance (happly it didn´t rain). When we arrived togheter with Linnea and Helena that also are members of GU-Trollhättan there was only a few persons there, doing the food. As the day progressed more and more people arrived, from here on my memories of time is quite mixed. What I do remember is bathing in Vänern (on of the gratest lakes of Sweden, I never rember if it is the deepth or the width thou) with waves that was really of ocean strength. We did of course also have people talking to us, among others a norweigan man called Asbjörn (or something like that) from For velferdsstaten that was probably the most liked lecture (allthough a bit hard to understand). There also was lectures on everything from the privatision of water (brrr, and im not sure of the spelling. Please comment with the correct one) to the rainforest to workshops on activism. There also was a discusion about the MJV (Miljöförbundet Jordens Vänner homepage) and some workshops, I did mention GNU\Linux and that Open Source is a word that liberals use to make Free Software more markety, sadly it seemd not to get in. They kept saying open source. We did social things to, like played The Settlers från Catan (Thats a strange translation if any), it was really nice. Also we met some nice people, one called Gustav, hows mail I seems to have lost (or rather I tryed finding him on Miljöpartiets BBS, where he said he had an account, but didn´t) and another nice nerd how had a protable computer with Debian on with him, and sat coding Perl applications for somekind of groupware-system, it made me feel verry guilty about not coding anything on Tolkiensarda, but also verry happy to find another person how prefer perl before php. (In the Tolkiensarda case we have a trouble with building forward on the old phpBB databases) He also was very much a cyclist (he has cycled about everywhere) and that made me wanting to buy one, as it will make communication for me much easier. And it seems fun to. He also knowed Katas sister Helena (No not the same Helena as the Grön Ungdom one) through theere intrest in music. Anyway to see more on Per-Erik look at his homepage. One I was talking about people I almost forgot Göran, how I had some mail contact with as I was going to hold a lecture about Free Software at a Grön Ungdom summercamp, but sadly become ill. I still have it preperd and am ready to go long to give it to people. (But economicaly, I can just go with in the west coast of sweden with out some transportion support. At least till I built a bike). Any way back to Göran, he and Gustav played Settlers från Catan very aggressivly. Now GU-Thn (I think you get what that short stands for....) is planeing to build up a libary, so I emptyed my bookcase on some books, and also me and Kata thought that some cd´s with free software would be nice (Knopix of course) , sugest free software (GNU GPL:ed or licenses or suchlike) and free litrature too. Use the comment function good dam it. Over and out for now.

Well, hi Everyone.

Im happy to say I started a blog. But to tell the truth I have had two before. One was called, Weird screams from inside the strange place, our something like that. And the other was called Virres reading blog. But now I stoped them and decided to start a new one. That holds everything and why should I keep things secret. Honstly serves best,so it will be a verry straight on the core kind of thing. And someparts might be in Swedish sometimes.

Well, I guess I should write something about who I am. My name is Virre Annergård, Born in Stockholm Sweden. Have a girlfriend. Live in a small city called Färgelanda, Girlfriend lives a bit outside of that in a village called Rådanefors. I am a Vegan and Blackgreen in politics. I soon will get to the blogging part, please don´t fall a sleep. Lets list things that is on my urgent list:

Get a job. Stop being a lazy sleazeball really, anything. If you have some tips of work in the western part of sweden (Västra Götaland, our rather Västtrafiks area) give me a mail. Or if you have some other nice way to get money to. (Allthough legal would be nice)
Get working on the redesign of Tolkiensarda.se, most get a CVS client that works on girlfriends winsucks machines.
Make Youth Green Trollhättan homepage, but that could proably not be as rushed as the other stuff
Get Esgaroth active and begin doing stuff (Esgaroth=Tolkien society)
Get active in politics and do fun stuff. Hmm, non-violent direct action kind of stuff.

So let´s get started on real things then, like what should I rant about today. Let´s see favourite isue is GNU/Linux things and how horrible the collective trafic is. Let me say it this way, Today there was 3 buses from the nearest town (Uddevalla) to Färgelanda but then there was only one buss to my girlfriend. And as we are here, and really had to go here we had trouble getting home from an Esgaroth meeting that was cancelled. First we should take the train from where the meeting was (Vänersborg), so we sit inside the station waitning as its about 30C outside (it felt like waiting for trains in Italy, it was that hot). So we sit inside there, and then the speakers says "train up to five minutes late". And then we sit there waiting and then we hear a train, and wow that was our train. (why, didn´t they say it had arrived) Now then we had to go with buses that had like 0 minutes of marginal to the next one and go a long way off. But in the end we got here and eat a verry nice rice noodle/tofu/cashew-wook. So here comes todays

Vegan Recipe: ricenoodle/tofu/cashew wook
(for about 3 persons)

1½ Can of wook-vegetables (or whatever source you want for those)
1 Can of coconut milk
1 package of tofu (the ones that are in water.)
½ a package of Ricenoodles (about 300gr)
Cashewnuts as you think may be to your likeing
some vegetabel oil for frying in.
spicies: chilipouder, blackpepar, herbal salt and some juice from a citrus.

Begin with cuting the tofu in nice squares, and prepare the ricenoodles according to instructions (ours said boil for two minutes, so you might want to do that a bit later on as it´s quick and not needed before much later). Begin frying the tofusquares in your wok or whatever you use for this purpuse, after a minute or so add the vegetables (if you are useing non canned, think about what would need the longest time). Let that fry togheter for some more minutes, (till you found they got a bit of colour) then add the ricenoodles. Put some soy in to get away that uggly silken color of the ricenoodles and make the tofu look a bit nicer. Fry it some more whilst stiring around, so that thee ricenoodles get mixed up properly. Now add the coconutmilk and stir abit. And the spices and taste, so it´s the way you like it. Let it be boiled a bit and add cashewnuts. Then serve and enjoy! If your lucky and got the right amouny of chilipouder it will taste wonderfull. Oh, and if you wonder what I meant with some of the stuff in it, please ask, becuase my food term english is off.
